about
The LATIN SOUL BROTHAS lay down a deep soulful track that comes complete with an instrumental, a YONURICAN DUB, and GLENN UNDERGROUND's BLACK DYNAMITE RERUB.
This project came about after a deep conversation with spoken word artist Melissa Rosario about the bloodlines that run through the islands, especially Puerto Rico.
The Latin Soul Brothas' first official release "Termino Mi Amor" was on the Masters At Work affiliated label 'Vega Records'. In that release as well as this current one Glenn Underground provided a rework mix to take the music into another level. Look for other Latin Soul Brothas' releases on Noble Square & Neroli Records.
Born in Puerto Rico and living life in Chicago Melissa Rosario has also provided spoken word for the Yonurican releases 'Kokotaso' and 'Boriken Soul' on Jellybean Soul. Melissa specializes in thought provoking underground poetry/spoken word that would put famous artist to shame. She also wrote & performed the 'Intro' track to Gene Hunt's recent album on Unified Records as well as Baila Mi Gente on Abicah Soul Project's label which has additional remixes from Casa Mena & Boddhi Satva.
